Unsolicited commentary and thoughts

There’s nothing like seeing this, laughing, and then coming to the sad realization that this is what I do.

Web design always seemed like just fun and games, but then when you finally get into the industry you learn getting paid for making websites means doing everything you can to help someone else sell their product. Hooray for advertising.

On another note, I hate advertising. I was informed by colleagues and friends that KFC had new “Sauceless Hot Wings.” Nobody was sure what it was, just that the wings were crispy and dry on the outside instead of being slathered in the typical hot wing sauce, and there were rumors that the sauce was beneath the skin.

I like to try new things, so I ordered them. Turns out they’re the same hot wings I’ve been eating for the past 10 years. KFC is just aggressively marketing them as “new,” when in fact they’ve been around forever. Lame.

Speaking of new things, whenever I go poop at work I usually use the same stall. The other day someone was in my stall, so I had to use the bigger, handicap-sized one. In the far corner of the stall was a stack of Stuff magazines. “Score!” I thought to myself.

I picked up the top issue to peruse the articles, only find that there were post-it bookmarks on certain pages. The “good” pages. All of the issues had been bookmarked. Someone had a lot of free time.

Shame they all disappeared the next day.
