For a single guy living alone, I’ve managed to keep myself busy. I said farewell to my favorite PDF Designer Jorge Fino on Saturday as he left to Cupertino to work with Apple on the iPod team. I fully expect him to be wearing a black turtleneck when I see him next.
Later that day I went to a wedding shower for my friends from high school Pat and Linh. Nothing too out of the ordinary happened there, although with Pat doing a keg stand and being drunk most of the time I guess I got a preview of what the bachelor party will be like, except with naked boobs.
As most of you will know, I am extremely athletic and love the outdoors. In fact, most of the time when I’m on my computer I’m actually in the middle of the woods doing sit-ups and typing a letter each time I complete a sit-up. So it should come as no surprise that I went indoor rock climbing with my belaying partner Ron on Sunday. I got about halfway up the first wall when I remembered I’m slightly terrified of heights. Regardless, I’m a badass and forced myself to the top. It was pretty fun after I got past the “holy crap I’m really high up” phase.
The Dark Knight’s finally out tomorrow at midnight. I wasn’t able to secure an IMAX ticket, but they are doing a 6am showing. I was contemplating doing both midnight and 6am and then going into work immediately after, and then being “that guy” at work that’s seen Dark Knight twice already. That’s kind of an overkill though.
