Item No. 49

Written on Sunday, November 2, 2008

I woke up at 6:30 today. Not because I forgot about the time change, but to see if I write better in the mornings. Amongst all the research I’ve done into writing, the one rule that comes up a lot is to set aside a certain time of day for writing, and to just sit there and write. Even if I don’t write, I’m supposed to sit there anyway, and one day I’ll just write because I’ll get bored of sitting.

That went a bit off topic, but I woke up early to see if it works for me, and I would say it went fine, although maybe because I was hopped up on caffeine from yesterday and didn’t sleep all that well, and I got an extra hour of sleep and went to sleep at freaking 10pm on a Saturday.

I don’t think that sentence had a point. I met my word goal in about three and a half hours today though, as opposed to five hours yesterday. I don’t think that’s entirely good, but it’s not bad either.

And I smell like coffee. It’s annoying.

About

Eric Lim works as a front-end developer in Orange County, California and spends his time squandering his potential.

In his spare time he surfs the internets, pirates music and movies, pets strange kitties, and makes a big mess when he eats. He also tends to say things that make no sense because he doesn't really listen to himself when he talks.
