Unsolicited commentary and thoughts

I planned on writing something before the year was over, but eh, I got lazy and I’ve been spending my time off just playing with the Xbox 360, watching movies, and reading Harry Potter.

Speaking of which, I read through the last hundred pages or so of book four in one sitting, but now I’ve realized I don’t have book five. I swore I had them all before I started reading, but I must have been mistaken. I’m going to have to hit up the Goodwill stores tomorrow to see if any of them have it, or just borrow a copy from a friend until then. I really enjoyed four a bit more than the previous books, mostly because it felt like the overarching story was finally moving along.

I’d best pick up my writing again this month. I need to set some word goals again although I’m unsure of what. I wanted to go easy with 1,000 words a week but that feels almost too lenient considering in November for NaNoWriMo I was attempting 1,667 words a day. 3,000 sounds doable then, and if I can get a complete draft done by say…April, I would be very pleased.

I’m also tempted to attempt my 2007 goal of reading a book a month, but upping it to two a month this time, but that cursed Xbox 360 has a lot of games that it wants me to play. It’s so demanding.
