Unsolicited commentary and thoughts

Continuing on with my 2009 in review, a couple of albums I really loved, neither of which was actually released in 2008.

A Good Day, Priscilla Ahn Priscilla has an amazing voice, and I listened to this album countless times. Call it chick music, I don’t care, I love it. “Red Cape,” “Dream,” and “I Don’t Think So” are all wonderful tracks from her. Make sure to check out her blogotheque session too.

Re-Arrange Us, Mates of State I was not a fan of their 2003 album Team Boo, and so I sort of wrote them off for a while. I came across Re-Arrange Us on Amazon and listened to a few tracks though and instantly loved their new sound. This album is infinitely fun.

The Chart Top 10 artists I listened to in 2009, according to Last.fm:

  1. Andrew Bird
  2. Death Cab for Cutie
  3. Priscilla Ahn
  4. Jimmy Eat World
  5. Explosions in the Sky
  6. Sufjan Stevens
  7. Snow Patrol
  8. The Weakerthans
  9. Metric
  10. The Killers
