Inspired by John Hicks’ fluid design for his website, I set about implementing the same techniques for my own wonderful site. Go ahead, shrink your browser window. Look at it cunningly switch to two columns, and then a single column. Now make the browser bigger and watch it go back. Oh yeah, you like that.

I’m mostly writing this post so that Google doesn’t think my site is dead and drops me even lower in the search results for my name (This site is coming up second now!). In the mean time, let me see what I can provide updates on:

After ten years behind the wheel, I finally got into my very first auto accident. Amazing odds, especially with the Asian factor =) Luckily the accident wasn’t my fault, and in the end there was very little hassle involved, but since getting my car back on Wednesday I’ve found myself driving just a tad more…

My buddy Abdul Johnson has joined me in the HTPC route. He’s already installed MediaPortal and got it sorta running, and now he’s e-mailing me with questions about HDMI and cabling issues. I just have to repeat again that having an HTPC is probably the greatest thing ever. I even installed a plugin lately that…

It has occurred to me that I’ve never kept a list of tv shows I watch and finish. So, let’s start. Battlestar Galactica (2004) Really not happy with the way the show ended. It’s hard to recommend the show to people because of that, but it’s still worth a watch, just not something easy to…

Continuing on with my 2009 in review, a couple of albums I really loved, neither of which was actually released in 2008. A Good Day, Priscilla Ahn Priscilla has an amazing voice, and I listened to this album countless times. Call it chick music, I don’t care, I love it. “Red Cape,” “Dream,” and “I…

Secret Santa has always seemed a bit…unrefined to me. Usually you and a bunch of friends agree to do it, so you draw names out of a hat, and then you’re off to get a gift for the name you draw. If you pulled your own name, score! But the fun starts to go away…

I was awoken by the sound of an incoming text message on my phone at around 4:22 a.m. on December 15th. Nobody had any reason to send me a text message that early in the morning. It was a message from Yahoo!, telling me that one of my Gmail addresses had been removed from my…

The burgers at Five Guys Burgers & Fries just may be better than the burgers at In-n-Out. I’ve been to Five Guys twice now, and really enjoyed it both times. They seem a lot less greasy, and it’s nice that I can put on as many toppings as I want, among them tomatoes, grilled onions,…

My fantasy basketball team of all-white players is holding on to first place as I write this. This time around they are dubbed “The Pale Males,” and according to friends knowledgeable on the subject of basketball, I’ve got a pretty good line-up.

To show that I’m still willing to laugh at myself, please observe the following conversation. I need to use commas more liberally.

My salsa dancing skills are slowly improving. I would like to say I’m on the verge of moving past beginner level into intermediate, yet it’s not as easy as I had hoped.
